Our Core Values And DEAI+AR Statement

Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Inclusion and Anti-Racism

The Switzer Learning Center honors diversity which brings richness to our collective human experiences. We are committed to disarming racism and advancing equity by embracing diversity, ensuring accessibility and implementing inclusionary practices as part of our strategic priorities to fulfill our mission of nurturing children, teens, and young adults of all abilities to believe, achieve, and thrive.

We will continually strive to build a safe and welcoming environment where staff, students, board members, and community stakeholders feel valued for their unique perspectives and backgrounds. Switzer Learning Center will actively participate in an ongoing commitment to DEIA+AR in our instructional design, pedagogical methods, and curricular and academic programming. Our core values will guide and impact all the decisions the organization makes (internal and external) to ensure that we are choosing a path toward organizational transformation.

Switzer Learning Center core values: Accountability, Belief in our mission, Learning , and excellenc

Core Values

We embolden ourselves to carry out these core values:

A = Accountability to our students, supporters, and community.

B = Belief in our mission and in our ability to create lasting impact.

L = Learning is constant, focused, and an indefinite part of our culture.

E = Excellence is the target for all operational pillars, present and future.

We enthusiastically take on the work of culture change internally with our staff and externally with our partners throughout the community to create hope and opportunity for all neurodivergent youth and young adults. To remain true to our core values, we will hold ourselves accountable through a perpetual process of reflection and responsive action.
