POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Seeking an experienced special education teacher to work in our traditional learning program.
  • Serving students from 5th - 12th grade with social, emotional, learning and behavioral challenges.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Monday through Friday work week
  • School hours: 8:30AM - 4:30PM daily
  • Attends mandatory monthly staff meetings (dates TBD).

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe Special Education Credential, completed or in process.
  • Must have minimum 3 years of experience working with children with special needs (social, emotional, learning and behavioral challenges).
  • Flexibility and creativity in designing individualized education plans (IEP's).
  • Ability to implement academic/behavioral plans for each student.
  • Ability to present subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques (lecture, discussion, modeling, etc.)

COMPENSATION:

  • $60,000- $70,000 annually (depending on experience and credential).
