NON-TRADITIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM (CERTIFICATE TRACK)

At Switzer Learning Center in Torrance, CA, our Certificate Track non-traditional learning program is thoughtfully crafted for students facing mild to severe learning, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment tailored to their unique needs. 

 

Certificate Track

Our Certificate Track program offers a non-traditional, alternative curriculum specifically designed for students who are working toward a certificate of completion, as outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP). 

 

 

Collaborative Approach to Education 

We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, where administrators, faculty, and related service personnel come together to create customized academic programs for each student. Our dedicated team typically includes: 

- Credentialed teachers 

- Licensed speech and language professionals 

- Art therapists 

- Licensed therapists 

- Behavioral support staff 

 

 

 

Holistic Development 

Our classes incorporate developmentally-based social skills training, vocational opportunities, and extensive transitional studies. We also foster collaboration with other programs within the Switzer Learning Center, ensuring a comprehensive support system for our students.
